At Kilgraston Summer School, we are proud of the level of care we provide to our students. Led by our Welfare Manager, our residential team are on-site 24/7 to ensure the best pastoral care for our students. Students will be woken up each morning by our residential team who will then do a roll call before taking them to breakfast, after which they will be taken to their morning classes. The residential team will be on duty at lunch and dinner times, taking roll calls and ensuring that everyone has a nutritious meal. In the evenings, the residential team will be on call, ensuring that students get to bed on time and are not disruptive after lights out. The residential team have a base in the welfare office, where students can go at any time of the day to talk with a team member if they have a problem, such as feeling homesick. The residential team will also make sure that students have time to call home, and have access to their pocket money before trips. |
Unsupervised time
Senior students (13 - 17) may be given some unsupervised time during the day, such as in the common room or on the lawn after lunch or dinner, before the next daily activity. There may also be the chance for students on a Sunday to walk to the village shop with their friends, or to enter a shop unsupervised to buy souvenirs when on a trip. Parents must consent to this on the booking form. |
